The Deep Blade System (DBS)

Agricultural food production the world over is exploding with new technology. But you can have the best of everything and still not achieve the profits you need if you do not have the right soil environment.

The Deep Blade System (DBS) provides the tool to both build the soil and increase financial returns.

First adoptees of the DBS used to comment that they could not fill dams because rain-water stayed where it fell. Within five years owners were telling us the ground was easier to work because the soil was softer and more friable.

Friable soils enable the entry of air and water into soil creating conditions required for both plant growth and biological functions by beneficial soil microorganisms.

Hence the intention of the design of the DBS was to enable accurate seed placement while building the right soil environment for seedling growth and beneficial soil biota. This is the basis of the BioFurrowTM otherwise referred to as the ‘Furrow for Life’. Recently published research and farmer observations have shown that the benefits to crops of creating a BioFurrowTM can be built on further by Near-Row (On-Row) Sowing.
